Over the last five years, Mike Dean, has been involved in many of the cutting edge online advocacy programs in Minnesota and at the federal level.  As founder of Tipping Point Strategies, Mr. Dean has created an agency that provides strategic counsel and training, which helps clients succeed long after our contract ends.

Mr. Dean has developed a successful track record integrating online technologies to build strong grassroots support for on many high profile issues.  He has successfully worked with the University of Minnesota and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities to build strong grassroots operations that have helped advance their legislative agenda's.  In addition, he help build successful online advocacy programs to pass the Gopher Stadium legislation, build public support for the 2006 MVST Transportation Amendment, and help reframe the public debate on the Minnesota state-wide smoking ban.

Mike Dean of Tipping Point Strategies will discuss great tools that community organizers are using to improve their communities. The conversation will explore:

  • how some groups are using mobile technology to reach a more diverse audience
  • how free databases can improve your communication and make your organization more organized
  • and a few other cool tools
