- 100 Word Bio: I am currently the Republic(m)an running for Governor and the president of Earth Protector, Inc. working on preventing the Minneapolis garbage burner from being allowed to increase their burn, PolyMet sulfide mine environmental review, Lake Superior barrel removal, Buteyko Breathing Method to reduce asthma suffering and producing a television show for weekly cable throughout the state.
My campaign for Governor is focusing on "The Davis Money Plan" that will balance Minnesota's budget without increasing taxes or cutting programs. It is briefly described at LeslieDavis.org but there's a lot more to it that I will tell you about as we go along. I'll be writing more in the daze ahead but hope you will check me out and contact me for one reason or another. Your future might depend on it. I'm glad to finally be onboard with E-Democracy.org and I look forward to communicating with you all sooner rather than later.

- 100 Word Bio: Bob Carney is a long-time student of state government. Bob describes himself as a "moderate progressive Republican" in the tradition of LaFollette. (Bob's grandfather was a delegate to the 1912 Progressive convention that nominated Theodore Roosevelt for President.) Bob filed the original lawsuit challenging Gov. Pawlenty's use of unallotment and another one seeking restoration of the political contribution refund. Bob believes in encouraging private enterprise. He and his running mate, Bill McGaughey, have challenged DFL-controlled city governments for their abuse of the regulatory process. Still, as Governor, he would cooperate with DFLers to develop a responsible budget package.

The Radical Linguist Noam Chomsky
For centuries experts held that every language is unique. Then one day in 1956, a young linguistics professor gave a legendary presentation at the Symposium on Information Theory at MIT. He argued that every intelligible sentence conforms not only to the rules of its particular language but to a universal grammar that encompasses all languages.

By pooling their money and resources, and voting democratically on how those resources will be used, they can compete in business and reinvest the benefits in their communities.
